Short Term Rentals

Dear Members of Oro-Medonte Council,

Further to our email sent yesterday below, we wish to advise that we inadvertently referenced the incorrect By-law. We should have referenced the original By-law 97-95 and not By-law 2020-73.

Our message remains the same and our request to Council is as follow:

1. Council should reconfirm that the original By-law 97-95 is still in effect and that it clearly prohibits Short Term Rental Accomodations in Residential Zones of Oro-Medonte.

2. That Council will under By-law 97-95 fully enforce it to the fullest extent possible.

3. That Council will not introduce licensing or legalization of Short Term Rentals in Residential Zones of O-M.

We thank you for the opportunity to provide our input and requests and welcome any support you can lend.

Sincerely,

The Executive

Dear Members of Oro-Medonte Council,

On behalf of our membership we wish to encourage Council to continue the enforcement of By-law 2020-073 which addresses concerns about disruptive Short Term Rentals in our Township. The enforcement IS cost effective and IT IS working!

We are opposed to permitting STRs in Residential Zones andoppose legalizing or licensing Short Term Rentals in Oro-Medonte.

This is what our members want and this is what a vast majority of Oro-Medonte residents want and will support.

Sincerely,

The Executive
